Woot! This card catches me up on the Papertrey Ink eighth anniversary challenges! The fourth day was a challenge to create a floral bouquet on a card using more than one floral stamp set. I actually used four different sets for mine.
It looks deceptively simple, but there was a lot of fussy cutting involved. I didn't have dies for one of the sets, so to keep them all somewhat uniform, I cut out all the flowers and leaves by hand. I enjoy that sort of thing, so it wasn't any big deal. It just took a little extra time.
I stamped the flowers in spring colors. Yesterday was rainy and overcast. Dull grey everywhere. I was craving color, which definitely came out in both of the cards I made. I didn't finish this one until late evening, so the picture had to wait until today. My youngest daughter got braces put on her teeth this morning, and I took her "after"picture at the same time. New adventures! By then it had stopped raining, thankfully. (still overcast though - I'm ready for some sun)
Once I was happy with an arrangement of the bouquet, I glued each piece down one at a time. There's a few things I would tweak, seeing it with fresh eyes, but overall I think it turned out really nice. I stamped my sentiment in the corner and adhered the panel to an Hawaiian Shores card base. I love these pretty flowers! Can spring come now? :)
