Holiday Wishes

Time for the monthly Papertrey Ink blog hop!  This month we were given six different non-traditional holiday color combos and asked to make a holiday card or tag.  I chose the second combination of Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, and Aqua Mist.  The colors are so pretty!

Of course, I struggled a bit once I tried to create the vision in my head.  lol   I started with a base of Aqua Mist and stamped snowflakes in Fresh Snow ink.  I die cut the snowy hills and edged them with some shimmery glitter to add a touch of sparkly snow.  I die cut the tree from Hawaiian Shores cardstock and stamped it in the matching ink.  Hopefully you can see the swirly tree image.  The light was a bit too bright outside when I took the picture!  Then I stamped the three pink ornaments using Raspberry Fizz ink on Hibiscus Burst cardstock.  Finally, the sentiment was stamped in black.  Simple, but effective.  (and flat for mailing too!)

Stamps:  Tree Trimming Trio, Rustic Snowflakes (Papertrey Ink)
Paper:  Aqua Mist, White, Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus Burst (Papertrey Ink)
Ink:  Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz, Fresh Snow (Papertrey Ink); Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Misc:  Christmas Tree die, In the Meadow dies (Papertrey Ink); 1/2" circle punch (EK Success)  Crystal fine glitter (Martha Stewart); glue pen

  1. This is so pretty! The shimmer adds a great detail- and love that it's flat for mailing! :)

  2. What a pretty card, I love the snow background!

  3. Annheidel , I love the peaceful simplicity of your beautiful card. Love the colors too. Just enough snow on the hills…. perfect!

  4. Love the clean lines of your card with the snowy background - really pretty!

  5. Very pretty! That tree is fabulous with the pink ornaments.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it!
