Papertrey Ink 9th Anniversary: Bowls of Kindness

I'm back with another card for one of the Papertrey Ink anniversary challenges.  Actually, I'm back to post three cards!  Separate posts, though, so be watching for those.  This challenge was interesting.  It's a color challenge, but using a paper fortune teller to get your colors.  I remember making those when I was a kid.  Too fun!  I got an Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, and Pure Poppy color combo.

I decided to do a stack of vintage bowls using the Bowl of Sunshine stamp set by Papertrey Ink.  My mom had a green and white bowl that looked just like these.  Oh, the memories!  I stamped the bowls on their matching die cuts using the three colors and glued them onto a white tag.  I stamped a black oval on the tag to ground them.  In hindsight, I should have used a dark gray for my accent rather than black.  Whatever!  I added black to the top of the tag as well.

On a white card base, I added 1/4" strips of cardstock in Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, and Pure Poppy to match the bowls.  Then I stamped a sentiment from Everyday Classics in black ink directly above the strips.  I do love the dramatic warm colors.  Besides, there's just something about these vintage-style bowls that makes me happy.

You can see other cards for the fortune teller color challenge here.  Better yet, print it off and try it out for yourself!  :)  You can find the Color Pop Fortune Teller as a pdf file at that link.  It's definitely a challenge!
